Led by bassist Jack McNamara, Pontresina mixes influences from Jazz, Minimalism and Electronic music. The group takes inspiration from modern jazz groups such as The Bad Plus and Hiromi, fusing this compositional approach with the sounds of synthesisers and drum machines.

The trio plays music ranging from high energy electronic jazz/funk, a style they explored on their first two EPs, to electronic ballads inspired by artists such as Autechre and Nils Frahm.
