The idea that became Phoenix Street was born in the front bar of the Bodriggy Brewing Company in Abbotsford in the winter of 2021.
As childhood friends brainstormed billboard worthy band names, it did not occur to them that 3 years later they would be forming a group of their own. Influenced by the titans of post punk, alternative and anthemic rock, Phoenix Street has shades of Radiohead, early U2 and Oasis.
Guitar heavy and lyrically raw, their music is urgent, catchy and honest, and caters as much for the singalong as it does for the mosh.
