Peter Farnan and the Home Bodies

Boom Crash Opera and Serious Young Insect alumni pumps out whips smart art pop with

his band.

Demagogues flail, families collide, markets collapse and the four horsemen of the

apocalypse ride up and plant a kiss in the quirky, agile songs of Peter Farnan. He will be

accompanied by his band, the Home Bodies; record producer Kalju Tonuma (28 Days,

Bodyjar, Hunters and Collectors) and Megan Bernard (Liz Stringer).

Peter launched his latest solo album, HOME, in February this year. It reflects his abiding

musical aesthetic; pop with an ‘art twist’. Fans of David Byrne, Fiona Apple, St. Vincent,

The Beatles, Eliot Smith and post-punk acts like XTC and Elvis Costello will hopefully find

something on this album and in this show to engage them.
