You can’t sit down when you hear these guys play!

Ousmane Sonko and the Kairo Family Band have been together for 3+ years and were busy performing before covid hit. Recently they got together again to brush up on some fresh songs and they are raring to go back to gig around Melbourne and regional Victoria.

All band members are seasoned afro/world music musicians with past experience appearing at the Womadelaide and Port Fairy Festivals amongst many others.

The band has Ousmane on vocals and percussion, Matt “mr Funk!” on guitar, Rocky on bass, Danny “lightning sticks” on drums and Paul on keys and sax. Very excited to play at Bar Oussou. Don’t miss out.
