In the back end of releasing its fourth studio album “The Passage Of The Obscurantist", Nothinge will be arranging a month of predominantly electronic artists, no wave, new wave, psychedelic pop, poets, performing artists for June (2019). 

Nothinge has been long standing on the fringes of the art-world, and music landscapes of Melbourne and Montreal since 2012. It has performed with Pop. 1280 (Sacred Bones), Delicate Steve (Luaka Bop, Anti-), Co/ntry (Simone), Matthew Duffy, Beaver Sheppard and Bernardino Femminielli. It has worked in various ways with Pierre Guerineau (Essaie Pas), Jesse-Osborne Lanthier (Halcyon Viel), Cosi é Cosi, Corpusse and Ylang Ylang.

Following the success of Femmo Fest and their 7” ‘Diva With The Fever of Change’, The Desert Swells launch their debut LP ‘Nobody’s Fool.’ Spanning many moods from 70s pop to 60s psychedelia the album exemplifies the band’s truly unique ‘femmericana’ sound. Featuring the vocals of Leah Senior and Ruby Jones, the band provides the perfect backdrop of 1970s nostalgia met head on with the fire of 4th wave feminism. This show promises nuanced female protagonists, lush vocal harmonies and a wild on stage energy; with support sets from Cat Canteri (full band), Moon Cup and Violet Kelly (Girls Rock camper), this all female lineup is not to be missed. Nobody's Fool will be also be available on limited edition 180g vinyl, so get in early!
