Jangly washed-out guitars, trippy synths and tight grooves weave a vibrant soundscape that blends the worlds of psych-rock and jazz fusion. Drawing inspiration from bands such as Mildlife, Khruangbin and Surprise Chef, The Pines’ distinctive sound lands somewhere in the middle of all three. With largely improvised live arrangements, each performance is a slightly different journey to the same destination.
