Adelaide emo power pop sweethearts Nonnie make their return to Melbourne on the 18th of August, hitting Brunswick's Bergy Bandroom to celebrate the launch of their new single 'I Don't Live Here', out August 15th! Joining them will be local Victorian pop rockers Grass Stains and garage band darlings Fliney. There's bound to be at least a few melodies stuck in your head by the end of the night.
Starting as the solo project of front woman Lilly Peterson with the new found free time the start of the pandemic gave her from school, influenced by the fuzzy power pop of bands like Weezer and The Get Up Kids. Nonnie has since evolved into a band, having played several shows since 2022 including 2023's Transgenre Festival in Sydney alongside acts like Cry Club and Those Who Dream. Nonnie have so far released two albums, 2021's 'Either Way I'm Fine' and 2022's 'Another Railway Day', the latter of which featuring the group's most streamed track 'I Know'. And in 2023 released the EP 'On Your Way Out?' featuring tracks like 'Toybox' and 'Choice Words'.
'I Don't Live Here' is just the start of a new line of things to come from Nonnie, so keep an eye out!
