The Replacement Fish Band Night is a fundraising event for VCA (Uni Melb) BFA directing student Hugo Morgan’s graduate film; a dark absurdist comedy short film about a drummer who struggles to reconcile with his ex-band and ex-girlfriend when they replace him with a fishman that only he can truly see.

This VCA graduate film will be premiering in late 2023 on the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) website and will be entered into several other prominent local & international film festivals.
