Murphy is a live magazine – created for a stage, a screen and a live audience.

Inspired by the very popular Pop-Up Magazine in the US, it’s presented in a beautiful theatre / ballroom and performed by a cast of prominent writers, filmmakers, photographers, illustrators and musicians.

The night unfolds like a classic general interest magazine, with a fascinating collection of true reported stories about an array of topics – from the way memes are shaping economies across the world to the explosion of middle-aged female action heroes, and everything in between.

The fantastic writers take centre stage, narrating the stories, but it’s the use of multimedia and a live band that transforms the experience into something truly memorable. It’s quality journalism brought to life on stage!

It’s also informative, entertaining, thought-provoking, emotionally engaging, sometimes funny and wholly unpredictable.

Appealing to a curious and eclectic audience with a strong appetite for live experiences (that’s you!), the launch issue of Murphy will be presented at the Brunswick Ballroom on Thursday 12th May, delivering great stories, smart insights and a little magic.
