Munroe takes the stage in the upstairs band room at The Gaso on November 23rd. Expanding on the success of this year's releases, 'How About the Weather', and 'Pleasure', Munroe bring their full band to show Naarm that there is still more to come. Joining Munroe on the night is another local favourite, Keaper, and the emerging talent that is Oscar Vanjam.

Munroe and the Gasometer Hotel would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, who are the traditional custodians of the land and waters on which The Gasometer Hotel operates. We pass on our respects to their elders past, present, and emerging.

Fresh from touring the UK & US and an Official Showcase at AmericanaFest in Nashville, Nigel Wearne brings his hot new band to The Gaso for what promises to be an electrifying album launch. He’s had a huge 2023... in this year alone he's toured the US three times, the UK twice and played a bunch of festivals including MerleFest (USA), Cambridge Folk Festival (UK), Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion (USA), Mile of Music Festival (USA) and Old Settler's Music Festival (USA). At his recent AmericanaFest performance, none other than Americana Queen Lucinda Williams was in the front row fist pumping and jiving to the tunes.

Wearne’s new offering, The Reckoning is an album of contrasts. Rollicking, rumbling, sneering and reflective. A full band explosion of songs, stories and musical mayhem. All the while, Wearne's crooning, cutting, monolithic vocal keeps lyricism and poetry at the forefront. An enlivening experience that inhabits the after-dark realms of blues, jazz and soul with a shot of Ennio Morricone; this is Americana-noir. The new beginnings of a dedicated and shape-shifting artist.
