Bar Open hosts the debut performance of MP4, featuring Monty Price (guitar), Oscar Bruten (saxophone), Blakely Mclean Davis (double bass), and Sam Price (drum set). The quartet will be showcasing original works that draw on influences from across the jazz canon. The band shares the goal of building upon the harmonic freedom and expressivism of the modern jazz movements whilst retaining the lyrical quality and song-like forms of tunes from the Great American Songbook. The night will include a set from 'Sing, Sang, Swing, Swung'. Originally put together for a one night show at the Brunswick Green, the band is reunited to play a collection of compositions written by each member.
