Indie 5 piece Karen Took The Kids, hailing from south-east Melbourne effortlessly combine the sounds of 90s indie rock, punk and modern surf rock - drawing influence from period defining bands such as Radiohead and The Pixies all the way to Aussie icons Ruby Fields and Spacey Jane.

After achieving national radio play with their previous singles as well as drawing the attention of national acts such as The Terrys, Slowly Slowly and Ra Ra Viper, Karen Took The Kids are beginning to take off in the Melbourne scene and are launching their debut EP "Career Pulp" at the Gasometer in Collingwood on May 18th. Joined by powerhouse indie band Day Dreamers, as well as Mornington Peninsula based indie psych band Hey Spiro, Karen Took The Kids are prepared for an incredible night celebrating the long awaited release of their EP "Career Pulp".
