Guitarist and composer Jamie Pregnell is based in Hobart, where he has been performing extensively within the Tasmanian jazz and improvised music scene over the past decade. He attended the Banff Jazz & Creative Music Workshop in Canada in 2012, followed by study under master guitarist James Muller in 2017 (via an Arts Australia grant).

Jamie has recorded his latest album, “Sleepy Town”, in Melbourne in 2020, featuring all original compositions. The “all-star” lineup comprised Julien Wilson (tenor sax), Sam Anning (double bass), and, from Perth, Ben Vanderwal (drums).

For this concert he will re-unite with these collaborators, in preparation for a recording sessions for his next album. They will perform originals from “Sleepy Town” and newly composed material.
