A night of musical intimacy and cool. MJ Halloran is joined by Andrew McGee (Guitar and Keys) and Adam Afiff (Double Bass) to create a musical journey of love, loss, passion, joy and redemption. MJ is a critically acclaimed independent Australian musician with an international audience of followers. He has collaborated with music luminaries Spencer Jones, Brian Hooper, Dee Pop, John Nolan, & Kim Salmon, recorded in New York, Berlin, and Chicago (Steve Albini), and performed throughout Europe. “MJ’s voice is measured and huge by turns, as is the sound and the songs. Opening the night will be the gorgeous sounds of Light Magnetic led by Kat Amiss and Boris Sudjovic. The songs take your ears from the basement to the attic, from the misty swamps into fields of light. Visiting smokey lounge bars, journeying upon mysterious seas and following heartbeats into the unknown. "Kat’s doing something really unique, very expressive.
