Guitarist and composer Max Bruten returns to the Jazzlab stage with Between Light and Longing, a program of original compositions inspired by his time in the United States. Drawing on moments of discovery, challenge, and connection, these works weave together the sonic textures of American jazz traditions with Max’s own modern sensibility and Australian roots.

For this special performance, Max will be joined by an all-star ensemble: Julien Wilson on saxophone, Yemo Wang on guitar, Blakely McLean-Davies on bass, and Ebs Daramola on drums.
