$20.00 – $30.00
Impressive emerging guitarist Matt Hoyne’s latest project is Slow Poke, which makes music slowly; not necessarily slow music but music that takes its time, in no rush to prove itself. This trio is an outlet for exploring melody, texture and space more deeply; with a repertoire of simple original songs and some re-imaginings of music by the likes of Joni Mitchell and Rufus Wainwright. An ambling take on the jazz guitar trio, Slow Poke features the immeasurable talents of Tamara Murphy on double bass and Kyrie Anderson on drums.
Presented by the Melbourne Jazz Co-operative, with funding assistance from Creative Australia and Music Australia.
