Big thanks and praise for a new day.

We are a collective based in Sunshine, who have spent the last 3 months building our custom speaker boxes inspired by the Jamaican Sound system culture.

Our system is called “Mahikai” meaning “greetings and welcome” in the Ambai language on Northern coast of the Papuan island, and we would love to invite you to our listening party at Mamma Chen’s on Friday February 9th, from 6pm to midnight.

It is a free party, all reggae vibes and beyond with dub + poetry, rocksteady, ska, dancehall, dnb, jungle and electronics.
