Behold the night of transcendence approaches…as Brooklyn's own DEE DIGGS graces our realm, celebrating the tapestry of club culture, queerness, and the legacies of the Black and Queer American musical pioneers. Joining her are the effervescent Sophie McAllister, the radiant rising star Selena, and the enchanting high priestesses DJ Luv You & Hannah D, weaving a sonic tapestry that will ignite your soul on November 11th.

Welcoming all the way from Brooklyn, New York; selectress and music producer, the incredible DEE DIGGS. If you’re lucky enough to have seen Dee perform, you’ll know how every set by this connoisseur feels like a celebration – a celebration of club culture, of queerness, of community, of house and techno’s Black and Queer American innovators. Her adeptness at digging and building sets to energetic, seductive and rapturous heights has seen her garner the attention of the NYC queer scene, to now lighting up dancefloors all over the world. Her aim has always been to contribute and sustain more spaces where marginalised groups are valued and thanked by name for their contributions to humanity – to the original Black innovators of house, techno and disco, and to the Ballroom Queens, Queers and Club Kids alike for the theatrics and fanfare of nightlife as we know it. Dee Diggs pays homage to these origins in all aspects of her work from aesthetics, to her mixes and her own original music. Her sound draws a thread through dance music’s past to present to convey an interesting melding of sounds: lyrical storied tracks, sensual club edits, soulful realness, sneaky grooves, passionate thumpers, and nostalgic endings. Since 2020 has been running her eponymous party, House of Diggs, which endeavours to stir and settle the hearts of all the lovers of house, funk, soul, disco, and R&B in Brooklyn. She currently holds and curates a seasonal DJ residency at a hi-fi nightclub in Gowanus, BK named Public Records. House of Diggs makes an appearance yearly around Pride to take over all three rooms of Public Records with Queer Imagination and Sonic Pleasure. We can’t wait to welcome Dee Diggs and her signature beauty and grit to our beloved home at the Gaso.

Also joining us we have the effervescent Sophie McAllister, who is freshly back in Naarm after playing shows in Europe for such parties as Amsterdam Dance Event, Better Days in Paris and Heavy Feelings in Cologne. We love Sophie’s eclectic taste that always keeps us guessing, but is always guaranteed to have us dancing like there’s no tomorrow.

The next addition to our lineup is member of the Tribqu family and rising star, Selena. A frequenter of many great parties in Naarm, Selena is known for creating warm and infectious energies, whether that be on the dancefloor or on her Sky Lab Radio show, Blue Lens. A respected selector whose tastes span the likes of hip hop, RnB and soul, and transform into bass-heavy UKG centred sounds, we can’t wait to have Selena join us on November 11.

Lady Lazarus “bring a raw and jagged set. A melting pot of grunge, old school punk, and
riot grrrl. Never less than ferocious, never further away than right up in your damn face
(Underground Stage)”. Join us for a night of punk as they make their Melbourne debut following
the release of their single “Hannah Banana”, written by LL’s frontwoman to commemorate her
first relationship with another girl. They’re here, they’re queer, they’re ready for a beer.
Supported by Melbourne-based punks, Dolls & The Degenerated.
