Join us for a night of smooth grooves and live R&B at Mamma Chen’s on Sunday May 3rd at 7pm.
Featuring Lueur and Palien, this special evening brings together soulful vocals, tight rhythms and atmospheric sounds in an intimate Footscray setting.
Lueur is a newly formed six-piece ensemble bringing together a group of young musicians at the very beginning of their journey performing live R&B together.
With some members still in their teens, this will be one of their first appearances as a full lineup on stage. Performing songs in three languages, expect a set shaped by fresh energy, collaboration and a sense of openness as the band explores their sound in real time.
Palien is a Melbourne-based hip-hop artist and producer presenting material from the new album VERCETTI, a 14-track project inspired by the neon atmosphere of Vice City. Expect raw beats, sharp lyricism and a dynamic underground live set built with SP-404 textures and original production.
Free entry. All welcome.
Mamma Chen’s acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and the Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, the true owners of the land that we live and operate on. We would like to pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
