Free Jazz saxophone dynamo Tim O’Dwyer (bucketrider, MIUC) returns for a brief visit from his home in Singapore assembling an all star line-up including Dave Brown (Gtr), Mick Meagher (Bs) Reuben Lewis (Trp) and Mat Watson ( Drms, Electronics) to perform LOVE CRY_Ecstatic Ballads for Broken Hearts.

LOVE CRY is an ongoing performance project that reimagines sentimental Asian ballads—particularly Thai Luk Thung (Thai Country Music)—through the ecstatic, explosive vocabulary of free jazz, inspired by the work of Albert Ayler. After successful tours in Aotearoa and Singapore earlier this year,
