On Friday 20 March, Owelu Dreamhouse join us for a special set in the Triple R Performance Space, hosted by Chris Gill of Get Down.
The debut project from Saskwatch vocalist Nkechi Anele and arranger Nic Ryan-Glenie blends Afrobeat, West African highlife and psychedelic soul. Lyrics explore themes of family, Anele's Nigerian heritage, displacement and belonging. The duo will be performing tracks from their self-titled debut album – which was also recently named Triple R Album of the Week - ahead of their show at The Night Cat this April.
Triple R subscribers and First Nations people, can head to Subscriber Giveaways to attend. Giveaway opens Friday 13 March.
ACCESS: If you extra access needs, please don't hesitate to contact the station at reception@rrr.org.au before the event.
For those unable to attend, you can still tune in to the performance via FM, digital, online or with the Triple R app.
This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its principal arts investment and advisory body.
