Inspired by the multi-award winning book chronicling Boochani’s journey seeking asylum and his detainment on Manus Island, the moving 12-song performance draws listeners into the hidden world of forced detention.
To celebrate it’s upcoming world premiere at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Boochani and Styles will join Richard Watts on SmartArts, for a special live streamed conversation on Thursday March 11 at 11am.
They’ll also be joined by academic and community advocate Omid Tofighian, Boochani’s translator and longtime collaborator.
You can watch the video stream live on Facebook, Youtube and the RRR website, or listen via FM, digital, online and the RRR app.
Triple R acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which we operate today. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future, and extend that respect to other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
