Melbourne-based, French-inspired ensemble La Nuit Blanche seeks to bring the French music they love to a modern Australian audience.

Led by charming vocalist Raleigh Williams (Cookin’ on 3 Burners, FOOLS, Women of Soul), the band has been performing French classics and reinterpreted modern French pieces for Australian audiences for almost ten years, with performances at Federation Square, Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Adelaide French Festival, Sydney Town Hall, Bastille Day Festival - to name a few. The band is a favourite of French-Australian dignitaries such the French Consul-Génèrale, the French-Australian Chamber of Commerce and SBS France.

Featuring the gypsy sounds of accordion (Salvatore Greco), flamenco guitar (Nathan Slater), and the jazz stalwart double bass (Enzo Ruberto), with purring jazz and pop vocals, this band is like nothing else in Melbourne. Bringing you the songs of Piaf, Charles Trenet, Vanessa Paradis, Django Reinhardt, Michel Legrand - La Nuit Blanche derives it’s name from the French term ‘faire une nuit blanche’ - to have an all-nighter - be it from merriment and champagne, or sleeplessness and heartbreak.
