Kristin Berardi is one of Australia's foremost jazz singers, admired for her technical range, agility and accuracy, but loved by listeners and fellow musicians alike for the emotional depth and sincerity she invests in her performances.
Even during her student days in Brisbane, Kristin was widely known as a talent to keep an eye on. But she made headlines in 2006 when she made the finals of the Jazz Vocals Competition at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland - and came home with the first prize! The next year saw Kristin win the prestigious Freedman Jazz Fellowship. In 2012, she won the Bell Awards for Best Jazz Vocal Album, and scored first prize in the National Jazz Awards at Wangaratta.
Kristin has gone on to release a series of albums featuring both original songs and her interpretations of some timeless standards, in formats ranging from duets with guitarist James Sherlock to an album with the Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra. She won the Bell Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2010, 2012 and 2016
