Join Kite Vendor, a newly formed shoegaze/dreampop act, for their very first headline show on June 29th at the Old Bar, Fitzroy.
The band will take the stage with indie/alternative compatriots ‘Lady Fern’ and ‘Desire Path’ for a night of atmospheric melody.
8:30pm- Desire Path Comprised of expats from the Castlemaine region, desire path is a five piece slowcore/shoegaze band based in Naarm. Growing soft and emotional interludes into immense walls of shimmering noise and then destroying them at the drop of a hat, the band trawl off the beaten path and down one of slow, nostalgic emotion that builds until it explodes.
9:30pm- Lady Fern Lady Fern is the project of singer-songwriter Ewen Stewart. Blending soft indie folk with a storytelling lyrical attitude - Lady Fern encourages the listener to experience his music with a heavy heart and a wry smile.
10:30pm- Kite Vendor Kite Vendor is an alternative/dreampop 4-piece from Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, inspired by atmospheric guitar artists DIIV, The Cure, Beach Fossils & Slowdive. Conceived as a lockdown bedroom project by vocalist/guitarist Kyle, and only recently forming as a full band, Kite Vendor serves as a coping mechanism for adolescent aimlessness, drowning out the confusion with lush, intermingling guitars and ornate rhythm
