Henry Manuell’s "Kid Hank and his Ockerstra" brings the vibrancy of the New Orleans French quarter.
A repertoire covering traditional, creole, dixieland and swing jazz styles, mixed with a little ragtime, delivers a joyful rendition of ‘Nola’ street music from the 1910s, 1920s and 1930s.
This talented line-up features Henry Manuell on banjo and vocals, Rob Campbell on Trumpet, Robbie Mann on piano & clarinet, Sam Golding on sax & sousaphone and Willem van Ekert on drums & washboard.
Kid Hank will transport you back to the familiar sounds of early New Orleans with its toe-tapping beats and lively melodies. Mix it with the band’s unmistakable earthy notes that betray its inner-city origins and you have a music style that delivers classic jazz with a modern twist.
Guaranteed to have you dancing in your seat!
Jaded Memory has organised an exciting lineup of bands for the evening.
The first act will be Swings & Roundabouts starting the night off well with some Indy Rock.
Secondly we have Mailey bringing the energy up with some Hard Grunge Rock!
Headlining will be Jaded Memory who has elements of both Indy Rock and Grunge with a bit of alt/punk.
Each band compliments each others sound really well and is looking forward to putting on a good show.
