Disco as you’ve never heard it before, the Nathan Liow Trio reimagines the glittering soundtracks of the 70s through the lens of modern jazz. The trio expertly conjure the likes of Donna Summer, Dianna Ross, Chaka Khan, Michael Jackson and the Bee Gees, refracted into modern improvisations and deep-pocket grooves.

Pianist and composer Nathan Liow is a rising force in Melbourne’s jazz scene, known for his boundary-pushing trio work and evocative touch at the keys. Together with bassist Monty Shnier and drummer Justin Olsson—two of Melbourne’s most inventive musicians —this trio spins nostalgic dance-floor anthems into daring new forms, rich with spontaneity and artistry.
