Afrospace Interchange is a collective of extraordinary Naarm musicians, formed to champion the rich tradition of South African Jazz from its roots in the struggle for freedom to its current sounds under the guidance of the “Born Free” generation.
Their music invites a spiritual moment that communicates directly with the soul and rhythms of all our ancestors. The collective team up with drum legend Brian Abrahams (collaborator of Sarah Vaughan, Dewey Redman, Archie Shepp, Dudu Pukwana, Abdullah Ibrahim and is an originator of this unique art form) to create something that's part party, part history lesson, and pure magic.
Band members: Brian Abrahams (drums), Zvi Belling (bass), Patrick Jaffe (keys), Leon Stenning (guitar), Ron Romero (sax), Kasinda Faase (flute), Nic Ryan-Glenie (trumpet), Fem Belling (vox / violin).
