Kade Brown teams up with old friend Lucie Thorne for a one-time double bill featuring Kade’s quartet with saxophonist Julien Wilson, bassist Sam Anning and drummer Hamish Stuart, and the sensational duo collaboration of Lucie Thorne and Hamish Stuart. Kade will perform new quartet music before setting up a new base in Berlin in July 2023. After moving to Melbourne in 2013 from the far south coast of NSW, Kade studied jazz piano with Paul Grabowsky, Barney McAll and Sam Keevers and developed a contemporary compositional style that focuses on improvisation, grooves, textures and soaring melodies, inspired by the atmosphere landscapes of the NSW south coast.
