With his warm vocals and 70s-Americana influences John Flanagan has drawn comparisons to James Taylor and Paul Kelly and has been described as “one of Australia’s finest lyricists” (Timber & Steel).

Flanagan will be bringing a new 4-piece line up to the Drunken Poet, playing songs from his forthcoming album. In recent years he has become a favourite on the folk festival circuit, performing with his dynamic, acoustic trio.

In 2019 John toured outback and regional Australian towns for 7 weeks as part of the Festival of Small Halls.

He is currently working with Erick Jaskowiak (7-time Grammy nominated engineer) to finish recording his 4th album.
