Penpals: a celebration of songwriting.

Three Melbourne-based singer/songwriters are excited to bring you a showcase of their own unique breed of troubles, heartaches and precious memories from their ballpoint to an intimate room.

Jess Tyler is a determined and passionate musical force spreading the virtues of self-love while exposing her most vulnerable sides.

Hailing from Melbourne’s South-Eastern suburbs, Jess has surrounded herself with music since she could first walk. Jess' 2019 "Self Love Club" EP gave honesty that will be highlighted in this stripped back setting.

Canadian born and Darwin-raised, Abbey Rose serves up rich lyricism, catchy hooks and grooves that get under your skin.

It's not every night ‘Saucy Mama’ (from funky fem-hop outfit The Mamas) gets to show her delicate side but when she does, she captures states of heavy-hearted longing and bursts of determined optimism that can comfort even the most tender heart.

Bailey Judd dances between complex, emotional jazzy rock tunes to brooding existential sad-boy ballads. Moving swiftly between lush guitar compositions and heartfelt vocals, Judd could be the Mayer-Buckley lovechild you never asked for.

Drawing from his years on the blues battle field, Bailey has keen awareness of folk sensibility with the tricks of Jazz under his belt.
