James Stewart

James Stewart is a gifted and wise songwriter and masterful guitarist. You'll know him from the Warner Brothers and Overnight Jones, and as lead guitarist for the T-Bones. He's as loose as a doomed tooth and takes no prisoners, but he writes songs with narratives that pull you in and can make you laugh out loud or shed a secret tear.

Jeb Cardwell

Jeb Cardwell is known for his laid-back style, raw authenticity, and masterful guitar work, Jeb delivers heartfelt songs grounded in decades of live performance and honest songwriting. His 2022 debut album My Friend Defiance was praised by Rhythms Magazine as “an album that carries with it the poise and assuredness that comes from two decades of playing, writing and singing with the best of them.”

Alison Ferrier

Alison Ferrier crafts beautiful songs of nostalgia and the human condition. Her voice is unadorned, warm and inviting. She’s a talented guitarist and an active player in Melbourne’s vibrant music scene with her band The Upshots. One third of multi-award-winning blues-powerhouse Opelousas, and more recently, experimental folk band High Ace, with husband Jeff Lang, she has also released three solo studio albums.

Jack O'Dell

Jack O'Dell is primarily known as an in-demand drummer on the American roots-music circuit, having spent a long stint in Telecaster-master Bill Kirchen's band. Since his move to Australia, he's most commonly seen behind the drum kit with a host of Melbourne roots-music luminaries. However, he also happens to be a talented and inventive singer-songwriter and guitarist, in evidence on his weekly contributions to the JVG Radio Method on 3RRR
