Jack Howard’s mighty Epic Brass show returns to MEMO Music Hall for a special one-off St. Kilda Festival performance on Friday Feb 16. As part of Live Music Precinct Friday, supported by the Festival, Jack and the band will play one cranking horn-soaked St. Kilda-focussed set, featuring tunes from H & C, Painters And Dockers, The Birthday Party, Models and many more. Special guest support on the night will be Peter Farnan (Boom Crash Opera) & The Home Bodies.

Jack is joined on stage by a cavalcade of guest singers. Paulie Stewart (Painters And Dockers), Penny Ikinger (Wet Taxis), Helen Cattanach (Moler) and livewire Fiona Lee Maynard bring their style and their energy to this uniquely powerful show. The Epic Brass band itself is sensational and boasts a mighty four-piece horn section.

Jack played trumpet with Hunters and Collectors and wrote and arranged most of the band’s iconic horn lines. Along the way, he’s also played with The Violent Femmes, Rodriguez, Tex Perkins, The Living End and a host of others. Throughout 2017, Jack toured the world with Midnight Oil as their trumpeter/keyboard player/percussionist. He has also recently released his musical memoirs, Small Moments Of Glory, and his latest original album, Lightheavyweight 2.
