Launching Suzanne Phoenix’s 2022 ’What Does International Women’s Day Mean to Me?’ Photographic Portrait exhibition and zine. A subversive series of raw and honest portraits in its 11th year. Alongside each portrait is a written response to what IWD means to them.

This year will be launched with a diverse show at the Brunswick Ballroom on Tuesday 8th March featuring some of Melbourne amazing cis and trans women, and gender diverse people in this year’s series - artists, musicians, burlesque and queer performers, DJ’s, actors, sex workers, professors and activists.

The lineup includes Ferri Maya, Kat Mear, Kerryn Fields, Sarah Carroll, Brooke Russell and Frankie van Kan with more to be added. Our fabulous MC will be Jessi Leigh.

The Portrait exhibition and zine features the following 21 people: Angie Hart, Brooke Russell, Catherine Barrett, Emma Maye Gibson, Erica Dunn, Ferri Maya, Fiona Kitschin, Frankie van Kan, Jo Bangles, Kat Mear, Kerryn Fields, Lauren Hammel, Linda Bull, Miranda Holt, Neda Rahmani, Niveen Abdelatty, Sarah Carroll, Tamzen Hayes, Theresa Harrison, V and Vika Bull.

The exhibition is sponsored by SMLXL Fine Art Print Studio, https://www.smlxl.com.au/
