INGAMAR BIER is a Rockumentary unlike any other. A true story about beer, and space cake.

Remember 1988? Bicentennial protests, Neighbours, Hawkie? Mix tapes were the music sharing platform of

the era and the 4 Track cassette recorder arrived in the home studio.

Ahead of the curve, a three-piece band of unlikely musos called ANTIPOISON start a video diary of their attempt to make

their ‘difficult second album’. Ben, Dave and Vini devotees to the beer cult, quaff interstate brews to wash down ample

amounts of cake. Enough said? No, they’re also artists.

Ben; Terry Hall (The Specials) lookalike, graphic artist for the band, and a natural promoter of music, beer, and cars!

Dave; Mark Mothersbaugh (DeVo) doppelganger, with sampler at the ready to create cutting edge audio collages.

Vini; love child of Bob Dylan and Joan Baez. Wants to be a film director. Met Ben and Dave at art school in 1984.

After 35 years the footage emerges from Dave’s basement, including the only existing video of ANTIPOISON live in the

studio. INGAMAR BIER mixes fine art by Vini, band graphics by Ben, soundscapes by Dave and ferments them for one hour

and 23 mins. It’s bottled with characters from the 80’s Melbourne 'fringe' on the run from yuppy developers.
