Dark, filthy techy prog with the melodies of progressive house is the best way to describe Infusion.
A sound so far ahead of its time the band became what was the biggest Australian electronic music act of their time.
Best known for their ARIA Music Award-winning song ‘Girls Can Be Cruel’ and ‘Six Feet Above Yesterday’, Infusion were signed to BMG Australia and collaborated with world-renowned artist such as Junkie XL.
They toured not only the USA but reached the height of their popularity worldwide with performances at Creamfields Buenos Aires 60,000 people which was later aired live on BBC Radio One by Pete Tong.
Infusion’s founding members, Jamie Stevens (who needs no introduction) and Manuel Sharrad will grace us with a rare performance that may possibly be the only time we see this fusion hybrid set happen again.
The foundations of the Australian act NuBreed were set over 20 years ago. Jase (Jason Catherine), Mykel (Michael Walburgh) and DB (Danny Bonnici) became very quickly one of Australia’s most iconic live breaks acts making their rounds touring Australia and playing at some of our biggest festivals like Two Tribes and Big Day Out.
Internationally recognised as one of the tightest producers to come out of Australia with not only releases remixed by profiles like Deadmau5 but also writing their own remixes for artists like Crystal Method, Way Out West, Koma & Bones and Phil K. And all that aside, NuBreed are absolutely explosive on stage!
Expect a dynamic hybrid DJ live show with mixer consoles, EFX units, samplers and all kinds of NuBreed-like gadgetry. Anyone who’s seen NuBreed performs will know exactly why they made it to the 2000 & 2001 Technics World DJ Championship-Australian Finals.
We can’t tell you how excited we are about this very rare and special occasion.
