Mount Kujo

Powerful, dynamic, sometimes gentle but most predominantly highly energetic; Mount Kujo is a Melbourne based, internationally formed act blending Funk and Jazz influenced by Latin and Afro-beat. A collective of jazz musicians from all around the world deeply rooted in Melbourne's music scene, playing original arrangements rich of colourful harmonic changes, syncopated rhythms with explosive horn sections and extensive solo parts.

32 Bars

Tonight will be the video shoot for the 14th instalment in this epic Melbourne project. Featuring three sensational vocalists backed by a seven-piece band - get on the dance floor for your chance to make the cut for their latest song, “I Already Know”

The Hornstars

There are many words that could be used to describe Melbourne band The Hornstars. Funky. Danceable. Quirky. but above all else, the Hornstars are all about fun, and their primary mission is to show their audience a funky good time.

The Hornstars sound is big, brassy and hard to pigeonhole. The 9 piece line up bring a wide range of influences to the mix. Jazz, soul, blues, reggae - it may not all be funk as we know it, but it’s definitely funky.

DJ Suzi

DJ Suzi, known for her eclectic soulful underground mixes every Saturday night on Subway Sounds on PBS, will be spinning a mix of funky horn driven tracks throughout the evening.
