Backo is a Melbourne based band blending rock, pop, and acoustic influences into an honest, reflective sound. What began as Jackson’s solo project gradually grew into a full lineup featuring Jackson (vocals/guitar), Oscar (guitar), Carmen (keys), Antonio (bass), and Cole (drums). The group formed naturally through friendships, chance encounters, and a shared love of songwriting.

Their debut EP Ruby’s Place, released in April of this year, explores nostalgia, reflection, and the moments that linger long after they pass. Known for their energetic, heartfelt live shows, Backo has built a strong presence in Melbourne’s indie scene, connecting with audiences through sincerity and chemistry on stage.
