Hello January is an improvising ensemble made up of young musicians playing the original music of Bernie Ramos and Alan Nguyen. The duo have played together across several ensembles and are joining together again for this performance as composing and arranging partners. Influenced by contemporary figures such as Brian Blade, Pat Metheny, Paul Grabowsky and Sam Keevers, Ramos and Nguyen wish to highlight their connection to their friends as artists through authentic compositions created with each member’s unique sound in mind.
