Grooverider (UK)
There are legends and then there are legend's in the music business.... when you cut your teeth at the most original of illegal raves in a music cultural hub like London then there is simply no greater measuring stick of your legendary status.
Grooverider's records resemble the energy and funk that the jungle and DnB' categories are renowned for yet with what seems to be an extra edge of musical sophistication resonating at all times that naturally elevates him and his persona in the minds and ear's of fans.
Grooverider is a true pioneer of the DnB' sound in all its original rave like glory !!! Don't miss him performing in the Howler Garden this March Labour Day Long-Weekend !!!!
The infamous DJ Krush returns for a night of down beat Hip Hop and electronica that is second to none.
DJ KRUSH began his journey in the early 1980s after being inspired by the film Wild Style. In the late ’80s, he formed B-FRESH3 and later KRUSH POSSE with MURO and DJ GO, becoming one of Japan’s most prominent hip-hop acts before disbanding in 1992. He then pursued a solo career focused on expressing hip-hop through DJing alone. His early albums KRUSH and Strictly Turntablized (1994), released in Japan and through the UK label Mo’ Wax, brought him international recognition, especially in Europe. Subsequent releases, including Meiso, MiLight, Kakusei, and the collaborative album Ki-Oku with Toshinori Kondo, established him as a key figure in global trip-hop and abstract hip-hop.
From the late 1990s onward, DJ KRUSH expanded his influence through acclaimed albums, live performances, and cross-genre collaborations. His works consistently charted internationally, with Zen winning the AFIM Indie Award and Jakutopping U.S. college electronic charts. He scored films such as the anime First Squad, collaborated with artists including Herbie Hancock and Miles Davis, and performed worldwide with projects like Method of Defiance. Continuing to evolve, he released Butterfly Effect, Kiseki, Cosmic Yard, and Trickster, leading up to his 30th-anniversary project and 2024 album Saisei, followed by a successful European tour that reaffirmed his global presence.
