Join us for a street party and film screening for the premiere of Gore Street, Fitzroy (2025) - a historical documentary made in collaboration with the City of Yarra. “Gore Street, Fitzroy” traces the history of Gore Street, in Fitzroy, Melbourne’s oldest suburb. Through a series of interviews with longstanding residents, filmmaker Zoe Coldham, who grew up on Gore Street, paints a picture of the street and reflects on a community that has transformed through waves of gentrification. Gore Street has a long history of street parties, where neighbours would come together to share food, drink, and meet each other. To mark the premiere of Gore Street, Fitzroy, we’re reviving the tradition—inviting you to come and celebrate the history of Fitzroy.
