W.A born, St Kilda based multi-instrumentalist, Gordon Holland is finally releasing his debut solo EP, Skipping Stones On A Salt Lake, June 9th everywhere and you can experience the record live in concert Saturday, 10th June at George Lane, St Kilda, for a special matinee, full band performance starting at 3pm.

Skipping Stones On A Salt Lake, follows on from the release of his breakthrough solo single 'Melbourne Bitter' and the highly anticipated follow up 'I'm Looking Forward To Winter'.

Having played across Australia in his garage rock band The Naysayers, and various live bands, Skipping Stones On A Salt Lake, takes a different tone, marrying Gordon's love for storytelling and Australiana with his folk rock soundtrack.

The Modfathers play from 1964 to 1984. Music that started it all. The Mod & Mod revival. The Jam, Joe Jackson, The Who, The Clash, Elvis Costello, The Specials and more.

It’s 1979. Where were you?. These boys were on a mission. Tommy McEwan was working for an oil company and spending his weekends in a Flanellette shirt living the 1970’s dream in his 1963 Kombi Van. Rob Kirk was scaling the heights of his chosen profession, having recently won the prestigious ‘Mr Junior Cut and Blowwave’ title at the Wellington hair awards.

Then it happened …….

For Tommy it was a Hamburger with the lot at 2am at the Canterbury Rd fish and chip shop. The Clash came on the grease encrusted transistor radio. He made a decision. Monday Morning he quit his job, sold his stuff and went to Maggie Thatcher’s London. He returned to Melbourne 2 years later, sporting a Flat top Haircut and Looking for a Ska Band to play in. That band ended up being No Nonsense, after that The Swingin’ Sidewalks, Louis King, the list goes on. The Music changed.
