Ghost Mutt are returning to the Bar Open stage to launch their sophomore album 'Años Migraños'. Crooning, wailing and occasionally inward screaming, the prolific 5-piece have been making impressions on the crowds of Brisbane/Meanjin and beyond. Their special brand of moody pop-rock is marked by earnest lyricism, layered harmonies, and spacey guitars interrupted by crunchy distortion and pop hooks - taking sonic inspiration from the likes of Pixes, Wet Leg, Dandy Warhols and Ball Park Music. They are joined in the garden state by local psych rock outfit Papperbok and Gregory.

GHOST MUTT

Crooning, wailing and occasionally inward screaming, Ghost Mutt hurl their special brand of moody pop-rock into the universe. The Meanjin/Brisbane band counter the roar of existence with earnest bilingual lyricism and good humour - layering harmonies, synths and spacey guitars alongside crunchy distortion and pop hooks. They return to Naarm/Melbourne for the first of their east-coast tour shows to launch their sophomore album, Años Migraños.

PAPPERBOK

Papperbok is a five-piece psychedelic rock band specialising in high-concept dramatics, atmosphere, and instrumental frippery. Their second album ‘Aubade’ came out in 2021 and they are currently hard at work on something new. Expect more songs about devils, mossmen, and bored gods.

GREGORY

Meanjin and Naarm's newest dreampop outfit 'gregory' are ready to hit the stage and capture your hearts. This 4-piece band draw influences from the likes of “Julia Jacklin”, “Big Thief” and “The Cure” to just name a few. A mixture of toe tapping rhythms, sugary guitar lines and catchy vocal hooks, this dynamic band have released two singles 'She Is' and 'Quiet On My Own' that are both available on all streaming platforms for your listening pleasure.
