Close Counters present GET DOWN! A day-party for the ages at The Gasometer featuring a carefully curated line-up of mates from the Melbourne scene behind the decks all Sunday long.

The party serves as a cheeky preview of a stack of unreleased tunes coming from the duo’s forthcoming album - so come on and down and GET DOWN!

In 2021, Close Counters’ ‘FLUX’ EP was BBC Radio 1Xtra’s #1 ‘EP of the Week’ and they shortly after were touted as the stations’ ‘After Dark Discovery’ upon EP release by Jamz Supernova.

In the space of 12 months the pair have remixed the likes of Young Franco & Denzel Curry, Elder Island, Tim Shiel x Genesis Owusu.

Widespread tastemaker support has continued to roll in with Mixmag, NME, XLR8R, Clash Mag, This Song Is Sick, DUMMY and KALTBLUT Magazine. Radio teams at BBC 6 Music, FLUX FM, Worldwide FM, NTS Radio, Rinse FM, KEXP Seattle and triple j have all sung the praises of Close Counters as they showcase their diverse soundscape at the crossroads of house, neo-soul, hip-hop and disco.

Sir Jude is an Australian singer/ songwriter and producer from Melbourne. Her music embodying love, self-hood, heartbreak and hope, is a modern timewarp - a discovery of raw emotion through sensuality and imagination.

It is a cinematic pop that is hard to ignore. With a heavy visual focus, Sir Jude immerses us into her world, described as the sonic love child of Drive (2011 film), James Bond and grunge tones.

The release of her 2020 debut EP Dreamlands, features singles 'Because You're Mine' and 'What Have You Done', and has collectively accrued over 250,000 streams. The EP was inspired by the soundscapes of Berlin, New York and London. An experience that “inspired a creative spirit” and lead her to embark on a singular artistic course for visual and diverse cinematic pop - of which there is more to come.
