Gems is a Naarm/Melbourne-based collective created to showcase the work of women & non-binary people. Gems self-produce a zine tri-annually & fill the pages with art and writing by creatives based in so-called Australia & worldwide. 
To celebrate the launch of Issue 24, which had the loose theme of 'Distances', Gems will present an exhibition featuring work by a range of local artists. Copies of the latest issue & all back issues of Gems zine will be available to purchase. 
Opening event Friday 30 August 6-9pm at Brunswick Artists' Bar, 316 Sydney Road Brunswick VIC 3056. 
The exhibition will run for a month.
