The Espy is excited to welcome back to the Basement stage - Melbourne musician Chitra. Chitra recorded her debut EP in mid-2019. Having released a single,“Better Than Before” through local Melbourne label Our Golden Friend, Chitra’s debut EP will be her first recorded and produced professionally, a distinct step forward in her musical trajectory. Drawing on elements of rock’n’roll, contemporary indie-rock, classic singer-songwriter, and a hint of blues and country twang, Chitra’s music provides a rich platform for storytelling, an element of songwriting she is particularly passionate about.
