Join two acclaimed Melbourne singer-songwriters for an evening of sharing songs and stories.
ERNEST AINES
Ernest Aines is a Melbourne-based indie folk artist whose music has captured hearts across continents. Nominated for Australian Folk Alliance Artist of the Year in both 2023 and 2024, and The People's Choice Award 2025, Ernest blends intricate fingerpicking, atmospheric arrangements, and a soul-stirring voice often likened to Ray LaMontagne, Nick Drake, Bon Iver, and Jeff Buckley.
His 2023 debut album Spiral Bound earned a Music Victoria Award nomination for Best Folk Work, with Rhythms Magazine calling it "a sonic tapestry that is just breathtaking."
KATANKIN
Born of Russian-Romanian migrant parents, and with a harrowing family history, singer-songwriter Katankin's heartfelt music is nevertheless an ode and testament to love, faith, and hope.
A multi-award nominee, her debut album Said the Starling was a finalist for Contemporary Album of the Year at the 2025 Australian Folk Music Awards, and her debut EP earned her a Music Victoria nomination for Best Folk Work in 2023. She was also last year shortlisted for the prestigious Roddy Read Songwriting Award.
