Under the musical direction of James O’Brien and Daniel Traicos, these ensembles unite passionate musicians from across Melbourne in the study and performance of big band repertoire. From timeless classics to bold, high-energy arrangements, this concert celebrates the skill, dedication, and musical growth of the ensembles across the semester.

Zodiac is a Sydney-based collective that brings together a dynamic blend of musical influences and storytelling. Their music draws upon their Asian-Australian backgrounds and blends cinematic, contemporary jazz with compositions rooted in identity and place. With rich improvisation and emotionally resonant melodies, they craft immersive soundscapes that speak to both personal and cultural journeys.
