About For Life

What is For Life about?

For Life is a heartfelt declaration of unwavering love and devotion. It tells the story of finding that once-in-a-lifetime connection after years of longing and uncertainty. The lyrics express the joy of finally feeling at home in someone’s heart, admiration for a partner’s love and strength, and the dream of building a future together.

Why is it important to Emily?

This song is deeply personal, written about the love of Emily’s life, TJ. Writing For Life allowed her to capture just how much he means to her—how he’s changed her world and given her a love she never thought possible. It’s a celebration of their journey, dreams, and life together.

Emily-Jane is a Melbourne-based singer-songwriter who rose to fame during Season 11 of The Voice Australia in 2022, turning all four chairs with her powerhouse vocals. She joined Team Jess under the mentorship of Jessica Mauboy after a stunning performance of This Is Me.

Starting vocal training at age 7 with Jennifer Kerr, Emily-Jane built a strong foundation in both classical and musical theatre. Her career spans stage musicals, TV series (Neighbours), TV appearances (Studio 10), and more. She’s also the Artistic Director of Shine Vocal Competition. Recently, she opened the ChillOut Festival for the legendary Marcia Hines.
