Dyssidia have been described as akin to peacocks fornicating - beautiful, but violent and unsettling. They have also been described as what one of those OG classical wig wearin' boys would sound like if they were alive today and had a thirst for the heavy.

Regardless of how they are described, Dyssidia have been creating thought-provoking progressive metal over their 10+ year career which has borne 3 EPs and a full length album, 2020's Costly Signals, with the recording of the follow up album currently in progress.

They have supported main influences Opeth, Sikth and Between the Buried and Me to name a few, as well as toured nationally with the likes of Leprous and Caligula's Horse.

Melbourne based 4-piece instrumental group ‘Wallet Inspector’ blend many elements to create a unique progressive metal sound borrowing elements from technical death metal, jazz fusion and funk. Making their live debut in 2021 the band has supported acts including The Omnific, James Norbert Ivanyi, Stephen Taranto and Whoretopsy. Wallet Inspector are currently preparing to enter the studio to record a debut album set for release in 2023.

Joining Dyssidia on the trek from Adelaide are fellow South Aussie's Sines, merchants of alternative/progressive rock who have been making a mark on the Adelaide scene. Their sound is comprised of ambient guitar layers, hard hitting drum and bass riffs, and soulful vocals to create a mix of emotional power ballads and heavy hard-rock tracks, channelling influences such as Karnivool, Deftones, Evanescence, and Northlane.

Opening this night of tech and prog is Aidan Black, a progressive and ambient metal guitarist based in Melbourne. Hot off the heels of his first headline show in support of the 2022 album "About Time", Aidan and his band are ready to bring riffs, blasts and general instrumental tomfoolery to all.
